The beginnings of Vega Sicilia, dating from the year 1864, Eloy Lecanda inherited the estate of his father in Valbuena del Duero and began the walk of the winery.
Ahead of his time, I plant new vines, cabernet sauvignon, malbec and pinot noir.
But the true people responsible for the fame of Vega Sicilia were Txomion Garramiola and Jesus Anadón, and in 1915 they appear for the first time the wines of Vega Sicilia, wines aged in oak barrels.
In 1982 the Alvarez family bought the estate, along with its vineyards and buildings, as well as the 1982 harvest.
Some three hundred thousand bottles are left in the cellar, 100,000 of which are Unique.

Vega Sicilia Valbuena, is the younger brother of the winery, but a more modern wine, if aging is less and comes from young vineyards.
Elaborated with tempranillo and merlot, it presents a reddish burgundy color and with a dense tear that stains the glass.
In fruity nose, it breathes aromas of currant and cranberry, touch of oak wood and mineral memories.
In the mouth, potenmte and at the same time silky, unctuous, and of great power, with tannins very well assembled.
